I'm here, now what?
Register for an account. An admin will approve your account. If the admin has no idea who you are, you won't be approved. Be sure to whitelist [email protected]. All forum notifications will be coming from that email address and they frequently wind up in spam folders.
I'm registered and logged in, but I can't see shit. What the fuck?
Yup. That is by design. Once you're registered then an admin will have to add you to appropriate groups. Once that happens, you'll be able to see forums you are authorized to view.
Ok great, so what is this used for?
This will be the central point of communication for LoS. This is where events, rides, and such will be organized. While communication may occur in various chat groups or through text, those channels are not official and should not be relied upon. Be sure to check/subscribe to the forums.
How do I subscribe to the forums?
If you want to be notified when a topic is posted in a forum, you need to subscribe to that forum and an email will be sent to your registered email address when a new topic is created. So for example, if you wanted to subscribe to the Public forum, from the Board Index page, click Public, then at the bottom will be a link named "Subscribe forum". Click that and you will have subscribed to the Public Forum. Be sure to check your spam folder for emails from "[email protected]". You will want to whitelist that email address.
How do I edit my profile and access private messages?
The top bar should contain your username with a down arrow. Click the down arrow and choose "User Control Panel". In there you can edit your profile, update your avatar, update your signature, check your private messages, manage your subscriptions, among other things. Be sure to update your timezone in your profile so board timestamps reflect your local time instead of UTC.
I keep getting the login screen over and over
Clear your cookies. Note there is a "delete cookies" link at the bottom of the page that will only delete the forum cookies.
I get logged out way too fast
Check the "Remember Me" box when you login
After checking the remember me box it won't stay logged in and it keeps prompting me for my username and password
At the bottom of the page is a "Delete Cookies" link. Click that. Check the remember me box when you log in again.
